Who publishes this site

How the tool and the content are made
The tool's code and the guides are written with the help of AI tools (notably Claude, by Anthropic), under the publisher's responsibility. The transcription itself runs in your browser with the Whisper speech recognition model; it can make mistakes, which is why you can correct the text before exporting.
Checked before publication:
- line splitting, word-by-word timing and the .srt and .ass output are covered by 39 automated tests, some of them run on real output from the Whisper model (15 seconds of one of our own videos);
- the English version is checked by tests: same features as the French version, valid internal links, equivalent pages linked to each other;
- what has not been measured is stated as such on the pages: transcription time, Firefox and Safari not tested, limits on phones.
